What a pity!, I'm sure if they had heard a song like The Sodom And Gomorran Show or Integral, they would have probably changed their minds. Minimal could sound a little bit boring for a young audience.

I heard the first part of the interview (Robbie Williams making a dance album...with two PSB tracks....So I might have to buy a Robbie Williams album as an import, then) they played "Minimal" but I couldn't even stay for that and I had to go to work. I only heard a little bit of "Minimal" but I also want to wait for the full effect and get the album...but I might cave in and buy the import before buying the American release....depends on the price since I've seen the import very cheap! I will have to look for the show online. Thanks.
Wow, she is even cuter than she sounds. I listened to nearly the entire show for over two hours to hear the interview and I must say that for the most part, it was good! I mean, I didn't get a lot of the references to people and they are not playing the Eurovision contest here, so I was kind of lost when it came to some converstations, but the music is pretty good. I didn't realize that Gnarls Barkley was so popular there...I think they just came out over here and I think are breaking some ground.

I wonder if Red Hot Chilli Peppers (which I'm sure BBC1 plays) are all that much younger....they've been around the same amount of time, but it wasn't until a few albums in that they became hit makers and sold albums (well, by that time, cassettes and CDs).
Yeah, it's funny. They'll write songs for Robbie and Radio 1 will play them to death, but won't go near anything they perform themselves. makes no sense to me.
There is a possibility 'Minimal' or another track from 'Fundamental' will get an airing today on Colin & Edith. Colin just said they'll be running down the new album chart & checking out this weeks new releases, "including PSB". Between 3.30-4.00pm.

Are you aware that you are directly grinding the nerves? It is not really nice to see such never-ending bickering on the euphoric eve of the album...

I saw Tom Jones in Barcelona back in 2001 at a 20.000 people venue! Me and a friend, for some unknown reason, did a bet: if we passed our economics final tests at highschool, we would go to see him on first row. And we did it, and it was terrific!
So on Colin & Edith's Radio 1 show today they played Bob Sinclair and mentioned PSB afterwards, something about imagining Chris whistling it in his hat & shades.
Then Colin BIGS up Fundamental, "I've been listening to it & what a great album", Edith is like "yeah, I love it", then Colin says "its one of my albums of the year...the next single 'Minimal' will be on our CD burner" (SOTW).
So they've mentioned the CD Burner thing a few times now & Neil & Chris weren't in the Radio 1 building this time!

I would like to know who are the people who choose the songs are on the Radio 1 playlist. I thought the DJ's (of Radio 1) have their influence on it.

Head of music, producers from the various shows (Colin & Edith's is a big PSB fan) and, to a certain extent, the DJs. The more specialist evening shows are probably more influenced by the DJ.
