Its very easy to dimiss chart success, but for a band that has thrived on it eventually because of practical limitations it could prematurely end the production of new PSB music...

Haven't Fundamental been their best chart achievement in 10 years? Did they call it a day after Nightlife? No. Did they call it a day after Release? No. Still, first two singles from these two charted worse in total, compared to Fundamental, and included no top ten single.

(And no, I personally have no fanatical desires regarding charts.)

2) Yesterday, when I was mad was promotion for Disco2. And apart from that, wasn't it quite a different time both PSB and single-sales wise 13 years ago? Who releases five singles from one album today?

OK, but

I think they would love to be able to release 5 singles from Fundamental. After all, didn't Neil say that the problem he was having is that there were so many songs that could be singles? I believe I read that in an interview question on the office site.

But you are right, the music industry has changed, and 5 singles from Fundamental would be unlikely even in the best circumstance. But certainly 3, or perhaps 4, should be an attainable goal in my view.
