He said to someone ahead of me asking for an autograph that it was a strange venue, or something like that, so I'm not sure what his/his and Chris's feelings were about doing the gig.
They were just bemused by the fact the stage was in between two the grandstand seating sections, and so facing away from anyone sitting down. Hence the encouragement beforehand for people to get up and move to the standing in front of the stage! They seemed otherwise very relaxed and happy about the whole occasion! 8)

yeah, i was vaguely aware too of a bit of a kerfuffle going on to the side, but was too distracted to pay any attention

Great evening, too. Lots of '80s hits for people to recognise. We were down near the front (about four rows back) and everyone was enjoying it. (BTW, does anyone know what the bother was right at the front, on the right of the stage as you faced it? Couldn't see properly, but it seemed as though security were telling people off or ejecting someone ...)
Not sure if you are referring to the 5 blokes who decided to turn up late and barge their way through the crowd. One of them actually pushed my wife over so he got an elbow in his stomach and a bit of eyeball. This started a bit of pushing and a tiny bit of aggro. One of the lads (actually some geeky guy - looked a bit like Richard Coles from Commuards) then stood right in front of me so was politely asked to move aside (!!!)

Security were asking people not to record using their phones.

Aaahh, right. Might have been that.

Did a load of tiny kids go past you to get to the front? Half a dozen of them, all about eight? I said to people to let them through, they were the next generation of fans ... :D

They all made it to the front; well I squeezed two in front of me anyway, and tried to let the others see...I was a bit surprised the others right at the front wouldn't let them in for a bit, after all they were knee high to a grass hopper! neil gave them a lovely big smile, so if that hasn't got them hooked .....

Ooh, by the way, I have just pm'd you about the the photo, panbaams.
