Will be interesting to compare sales figures of Nonetheless compared to all the albums since Very. Could this become the biggest seller since Very? The force is with them!
No way. Bilingual sold 1.5 million copies all around the world by February 1997, 6 months after its release. Nightlife was around 1 million copies and these sales figures are moderate compared to pre-Bilingual albums.
If Nonetheless sells 1 million copy, I will do bellydance to Loneliness on MTV, I promise
Interesting to see that cds are still the main physical media. Five different vinyl variants only made 7000 odd sales? Yet only two cds made up the 10000!
What's particularly ridiculous about the charts now is that Taylor Swift has three tracks from her album in the 'singles' top ten too. It's a shambles.
The album is also number 2 in Switzerland, number 3 in Germany and number 3 in Australia, their best album performance there since 1996. Additionally, it charted at number 5 in Belgium, number 16 in the Netherlands and number 24 in France (from Neil on X).
