What a fantastic surprise to wake up to! I absolutely LOVED Feel the moment I first heard it.

I’m so used to listening to the album version though and miss the parts that were edited out for the radio version.

I feel a lost opportunity with the radio mix, they could've tweaked it a bit more
Everybody will dance has a great feel but there is no catchy melody but I don't feel that is particulary negative. I feel that Neil is almost rapping here, always a good feeling.
The remix of Loneliness doesn't make me feel anything
Chris singing in weird German is ok but all the vocal effects makes it more trashy than it could've been

I just now read the article, what a spy this Blake was. Holy shit. He worked for British intelligence and then defected to the USSR and lived near Moscow. Amazingly, 2 of PSB's singles from the new album have a Russian connection. In one case a Russian defecting to England, in the other an Englishman defecting to Russia. Coincidence, I don't think.

Is it me or can I hear elements of She’s Madonna on The Schlanger-Hitparade (Deutsche Demo)

Yes - finally someone else can hear it. I said this on the podcast and it fell on deaf ears. It took me a few obsessive hours to work out which song it reminded me of. It’s the Gwyneth and her fella bit I think.

Loving the demo of Schlager-Hitparade. The vocal effects on Chris' voice reinforce the irony in the lyrics. Neil's version is plain cheesy despite their intentions.

Everybody will dance is alright as B-side. Superchumbo adds some epicity and makes the chorus actually work so it's better than your average Superchumbo remix.

Cool old school remix of Loneliness.

We should be grateful we're having a 4th single at all! Almost a full album worthy of b-sides now.

Not listened to the whole thing yet. "Feel" as a song is kind of "meh" for me so didn't really hear any discernable difference on the single mix. Agree with others suggesting a proper remix could elevate it. Cute video which on my phone was hard to properly watch all the signs.

Excited to hear the other stuff on the single.

I thought Schlager-Hitparade with its Christmas vibe was going to be fifth single of Nonetheless in December to fill the whole year with singles, with this single now a fifth single for December could have been a pertect way to end the year of their return. But with this b-side sang by Chris I suppose is not going to happen.

Written during the sessions for Super. Chris has said that he and Neil have decided against recording it themselves because they feel it's "a little young" for them. So they're of a mind to offer it to someone else more age-appropriate.

Awful video.
Great sleeve with so many things to wonder about!!!!! Why the open doors? Why nobody around? Suicide maybe?
And then the video spoils the fun.

I was thinking this could have been a Twenty something part 2. Where the wife goes to see her husband in jail.

(But then I remembered I saw somewhere the guy from twenty something video is actually in jail)

Update after a couple listens:

Overall I think is above average, though Loneliness remix is useless. Radio edit is welcomed, it's very well cut.
Another masterclass in minimal techno by Superchumbo, which I think is the stand-out of the single.
Nice bizzarre weird touch with Chris singing in German. The bside is cute too.
Again, over average. Good single.

PD: Missing 12" singles. Imagine how those picture sleeves for all the singles from nonetheless would look like on 12". To hang on the wall.

I'm not an expert by any stretch, but aren't there a lot of issues/problems/delays in the vinyl pressing industry? To do with costs and supply and whatnot.
I know a few folk had issues with some of the Nonetheless pressings and on an OMD group I am on, people are never done complaining about delays and quality issues with both visuals and sound on the Bauhaus Staircase vinyl releases.

I'm still hoping for a set of 12" releases...I will be all over that if they do it.

I still reckon / hope we will get all 4 12” singles in January as a “released all at once” package to promote nonetheless special edition (2cd with the instrumentals).
