I cannot resist instrumentals but absolutely hate the AI generated ones, I find them unlistenable. So I reluctantly went for this. And they are wonderful. The price was different to advertised so I complained to Apple and they refunded me the lot!

Why would Apple refund you for something they aren’t even selling?

Also took a chance and purchased. All I can say is WOW. Absolutely beautiful. The layers and level of detail in the backing tracks is incredible. Absolutely confirms my belief that this is the best written and produced PSB album for a long, long time - probably since Very.

Agreed - great production and arrangements. I suppose my only thought is whether some parts (e.g. the piano and guitar in Narcissus, or that lovely wooo-weee synth sound at about 45 seconds into Feel) are too buried in the mix, particularly once the vocals and backing vocals, with all of their reverb, delay, etc. are layered on top... Sometimes they're just not audible at all in the final mix. Maybe it's the thing where it would be noticeable if they were removed, though...

Leaked low quality demo tapes from the 80s is one thing, but high quality instrumentals being sold which could be of financial value to PSB is another and out of order. It's obvious Neil or Chris (more than likely not Chris), or at least someone connected to PSB reads this message board so they'll be removed soon enough.

I've been able to give some of them a listen and agree that a lot of the layers are lost in the final mixes, which is a real shame. What I was saying about wishing they'd gone "all-in" on the lounge music for Secret of Happiness is actually evident they DID on the instrumental - but once you get to the final version of the song that is lost unfortunately.

If they didn't have a hand in it themselves, I'd say PSB/their connections found out about it through FB. That's where most people saw it first, I'd guess.
