As Anna Russell once said:
" Things would be so different, if they were not as they are. "
So, you've made it this far & you'll persevere.
Glad you're back.

Have you seen football in hospital?StevePSB wrote:I am back, at long last!
I now have no left knee joint. There is a rod or something taking the place of the broken bit of the joint which I assume connects to the good part of the joint.
I have about 30 odd staples/clips on the wound which I didn't know before last night that require removing by the local nurse in a few days (sound absolutely delightful).
Then I have to wait for contact from the hospital so that they can fit the new (stronger I am told) part. That will mean a longer recovery time than just had the bushes been changed as the new part needs to have bone grow around it where it meets and obviously tissue healing, whereas if it had gone to plan it would have just been a couple of weeks for the tissue to heal.
Oh well. Such is (my) life. All the time I have been going to that hospital (12 years now) it is a rare occasion indeed when something goes right and it gets me very much down to say the least.
At least I now have a few days of relative comfort, in my own bed, in peace and quiet, eating edible food and able to get back on the internet.
Thanks again for all the wishes.

I wish you a well recovery.
