The really good album PSB had on their hands (no Results, better Behaviour)

I see many reactions on Youtube to songs and videos of PSB and casual people don't feel an special emotion with the songs from Behaviour. PSB love this album and fans has overated it but it's not that good.

OK that's a pretty heavy confirmation bias you have going there. Honestly, why bother accumulating a case like this.

I think sometimes that it could be a communication/language issue with Nickname, not getting their point over as they would like. That said, Nickname seems to be forever stuck in 1988. As nice and as thrilling as the Imperial phase was, PSB and the rest of the world have moved on..

You are right, I love to express my opinions like they were facts. Yes, it's true.

The thing is I think I'm a fan of PSB but with a perspective a casual fan or a simple music fan can have. For example, for the fan Being Boring or Rent are masterpieces but I don't see those reactions on people who are not fans.

You can see the chart positions of songs like Love Comes Quickly, Rent or Being Boring even when PSB were at the top of the bussiness. The slow songs fans adore here are not the ones casual people love from them. PSB never had a hit with a ballad. In fact, for me their best one is King's Cross and it wasn't a single.

Yes and no. It's obvious PSB feel more confortable making slow and sad songs than fast songs. Thanks to Stuart Price, they didn't follow that way with Electric and Super too much. But it's obvious the anthemic pop tracks full of details are disappearing, when they follow that way they make more dance oriented tracks like "Vocal" which sounds like regular song you can listen on any club when you drink something. A song even Radio 2 didn't have on their playlist.

Try to listen "Blinding ligts", "As it was" and then "Take on me", you'll see the world haven't moved on as much as you think.

OK I just don't see the point, since those three slower tracks did still chart. Jealousy did well too and is fairly well known.

It's not like they are going to chart today just because they crank up the BPS.

Yeah, Behaviour is perfect as it is !, I was to young to understand it initially, but gradually I got it, it’s a beautiful album, and as Chris said, we set out to make a real techno album, but if what comes out of you isn’t techno that isn’t really much you can do about it.
