Re: Radio 2 in the Park Preston
I think it's dropped off BBC Sounds....it was Radio 2, Spoony and Kate Bottley (sp) were on that part of the show.

Thanks anyway, appreciated.Vintage Youth wrote:I think it's dropped off BBC Sounds....it was Radio 2, Spoony and Kate Bottley (sp) were on that part of the show.
Can anyone remember what was said about Dreamworld at all? Did they say:
A) Preston was their last ever Dreamworld show
B) Preston was the end of the Dreamworld tour, although there might be some future one-offs
C) Preston was their last UK Dreamworld show
D) Preston was their last show of the year
Woof.

I can't remember if they said anything like that in the interview. I do remember vividly that Chris had Crunchy Nut Cornflakes for breakfast at his Mum's house and Neil had Marmite on toast and muesli at a hotel.Dog wrote: Fri 08 Nov 2024, 7:40 amThanks anyway, appreciated.Vintage Youth wrote:I think it's dropped off BBC Sounds....it was Radio 2, Spoony and Kate Bottley (sp) were on that part of the show.

Vernon introduced them on stage by saying this would be the last time we would see the show/(these guys? On stage/live?) for a (very?) long time.
I can't remember verbatim as I'd been standing in the rain and mud up to my ankles for hours.

The blurb: Gabrielle, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge and Manic Street Preachers live from the main stage at Moor Park in Preston, and Vernon Kay catches up with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe in their dressing room before the Pet Shop Boys headline In The Park with their Greatest Hits set.

Yeah, Vernon Kay said "a very long time", which seemed quite dramatic...Vintage Youth wrote: Fri 08 Nov 2024, 11:27 amI can't remember if they said anything like that in the interview. Thanks both, appreciated. Pretty sure there’ll be more Dreamworld dates. There are so many countries still to see it.
