I don't think you're a liar Nickname.

However, I am skeptical of your ability to perceive the more subtle distinctions of the English language.

All the best.

No, and I doubt he would fill up 9 minutes on one of his albums with a track he didn't like.

Neil never said they hated it. Just that it needed work for a single.

"Having first heard It’s Alright on a House Sound Of Chicago compilation, the duo loved it and suggested that Trevor Horn use it with girl harmony outfit The Mint Juleps, and so after they’d completed Left To My Own Devices with Horn, they listened to what he’d done with It’s Alright and decided to work on it themselves. Although never fully happy with the outcome, they re-recorded it with Horn for a single release, and left the producer to make a third version when they were busy working on Liza Minnelli’s Results album, which became the actual single"

Greetings,

It sounds like it was the 10" mix (i.e. the unmentioned "second version") they were "never fully happy with" then.

Understandably so. It sounds a bit like a demo of the 7"...

Hello
Speaking of It's Alright, I recently discovered this remix.
Matt One 2025 Remix
I was really impressed.
I'd like to hear other fans opinions on it, if they decide to listen to it

The version on the album is much closer to Sterling Void's version than the single...a track they both loved and decided to cover.

It doesn't mean I don't like this version, by the way.

Nickname, you have misunderstood what Neil said. They weren't happy with the the album version not that they didn't like it.

Well: "We were never quite happy" and "the weakest track" to me sounds like they didn't really like it. At the time of recording the album version they probably felt it was a good track but then in hindsight comparing it to the 7'' they realised their mistake in not giving it more PSB-treatment.
