The negativity towards Bilingual

It could be because some fans resented the 'Latino beats" (for want of a better word). Like Release for example, and how many resented the 'guitar-based sound'.

Deep inside their heart, I think most of PSB fans love Se a vida é, Go West and New York City boy.

yeh you never hear anyone that they finish with west end girls when ever they are live do ya!

I haven't been on this board for long but one thing hasn't escaped me is an underlying negativity from the fans towards 'Bilingual' which surprises me. I think 'Bilingual' is their second best album aside from 'Very'. There are at least FIVE classics on that album!

5.It Always comes As A Surprise

Why are fans SO against this album?

I would happily add To Step Aside which is gorgeous and in the same vein like Young Offender.

I am also surprised why Very is always regarded as the best; it was lacking that urban bitterness that made PSB so unique in its own (except for Can you forgive her and Young Offender) padded with beeps, boops and a false enthuasism...it has also aged worse than Actually, Please or Introspective...
