Certainly. This is yet another example of Undertaker being (ooh ahh) "groundbreaking."DJ_Couture wrote:Did you get this joke from rubberfaced impressionist Phil Cool? He's more deserving of it than Geldof.glennjridge wrote:whatever same idea. I mean looking at that list there are some deserving artists obviously, but come on, erasure woulnt be out of place with some of that lot.
if you consider even one a weak link in that list,(and quite frankly I see at least 4) then throw erasure on.
I mean, tom jones.....come on.

Well, for starters, I wouldn't be stupid enough to post on an Erasure forum...[/quote]Loins Of London wrote:quote="skyhigh"]
in all of loins posts i havent actually noticed anything to suggest he hates erasure. it's all been very factual and reasoned. would say its highly likely he doesnt rate them in the same league as psb but no mention of hate.
Oh you cannot have a negative opinion on Erasure without the loyal few coming out of the woodwork with their shaking fists. This place temporarily turns into the The Damned. It will quieten down once their carers find them and then they will trot off back home to discuss how many felt tipped pens you should get free with the new album

So people who are also fans of Erasure are not allowed a Positive opinion? Are there some kind of rules that forbid people it? I thought we were all free to agree and disagree here? Maybe not for you? And what woodwork? I and many others have never hidded the fact we are Erasure fans too. Sorry that people like music you don't but no need to get upset by it! And another classic at the end I see, Who did you copy that one from?

What you on about? My post didn't concern you at all, so wind it down a bit and chill out.JSDOUVRES wrote:

You constantly go on about the right to an opinion but if you don't like what people say, you are quicker than most to jump in feet first.

You said you can't have a negative opinion on Erasure without the loyal few coming out of the woodwork, so what does that tell you? I am happy for people to have an opinion and if you need to insult people because they do then fine, if it makes you happy. But people can act the same if they want you know!

bottom line is they don't deserve one now or ever and nothing that anyone has said has changed my mind about that fact. Reason i started this thread was cos i read an erasure forum that someone linked to and they were all sayin that erasure should get one. No way!

The problem is that being as you don't like their music I think it is fair to say that you are not in the best position to judge. Fans of most groups that have been going all this time and with 5 number 1 albums to their name would probably think they deserve an award like that! PSB would not be getting this award if they still needed to be top of the charts, because quite simply they are not!

Westlife have had seven No.1 albums, lest we forget, and yes, I'm sure their ghastly fans believe they should get the honour as well.JSDOUVRES wrote:Fans of most groups that have been going all this time and with 5 number 1 albums to their name would probably think they deserve an award like that!
In fact, the stools-loving quartet probably will be in line for said award, and way before Erasure.

They are Irish, How could they qualify to get a Brit?Loins Of London wrote:Westlife have had seven No.1 albums, lest we forget, and yes, I'm sure their ghastly fans believe they should get the honour as well.JSDOUVRES wrote:Fans of most groups that have been going all this time and with 5 number 1 albums to their name would probably think they deserve an award like that!

Erm, at a guess I'd say exactly the same way Bob Geldof and U2 did.JSDOUVRES wrote: They are Irish, How could they qualify to get a Brit?
