Didn't anyone have him? It was obvious really.

What a legend, though. That match v Jimmy White in 1982 was one of the greatest sporting battles, played in the right way. They don't make sportsman like Alex Higgins anymore.

Since Barry Hearn took over Snooker a few months back, he's trying to get the sport back on track. Maybe they should bring the doubles back and name it after Alex. He used to partner White and they were awesome. It would be a nice tribute.

Right, I'm playing my reaper: Zsa Zsa Gabor for Elizabeth Taylor.

I'd like to use my reaper as well please.

I'd like to pick Nelson Mandela. I guess he has to be down as a politician, even though he's always in the news for anything. I'll let the host decide Nelson's title and who he shall replace.

Also, do you play the joker when someone dies? Or do you associate the Joker to a name before they die?

I think he only fits the politician category, Dave. That would mean a daring swap for Maggie.

The latter. You must play your Joker and name the individual you want to associate it with. If that individual pops their clogs, then you get the Joker bonus points. Could be crucial this year - might be the Sudden Death tiebreaker.

Big risk omitting Thatcher but tough decisions need to be made and in comes Nelson Mandela. I'll also play my joker. Fittingly, i'll use it alongside the dope with the stupid grin - Jack Charlton.

Cheers!

If i could roll back to the 80s, i think to see Alex Higgins again at the Guild Hall would be my first port of call.

Sky covered some of the funeral yesterday. A very sad and moving affair. What a legend and hero Alex Higgins was.
