No dancers. Just a live electronic band.
Ok, that's a shame given it's going to be one of their most widely presented shows. From what I saw recently it looks fab, but there's only so much Neil-up-against-a-large-screen you can watch imo. Sounded great though.
Oh you should definitely watch it. The screen’s only there for a percentage. It’s visually impressive.
Well, it's got Clare Uchima. She's worth more than ten dancers.
Afrika Green and that guy are worth seeing as well. Feels like they really got a backing band with their own personality this time. Those two guys on guitar and Jodie on the Release tour were too bleak.

Ya not impressed with this hike

I’ll play the long game and will wait to hear if this is ‘cinema worthy’ based on peoples response to the Jan 31 showing …. will then catch the Feb 4th one if needed

Else I will save the cash and consider it as a down payment towards the next tour Image
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Or to quote The Prince of Darkness: "NO MORE TOURS".

For some reason I'm good with booking tickets for ''live'' venues (well it's my job too as I work at the Royal Albert Hall!) but don't find film listing or sites very helpful. Do you have a link?

I'm working on a few truths and assumptions:

1. It'll be released on BlueRay/DVD at some point anyway
2. I already saw much of it on the Unity tour
3. I'm a bit weird - when I go to the cinema I want to WATCH the movie/show without too many distractions. I can't help feeling this is going to be like going to a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with more audience participation than I'm going to be comfortable with.
4. It's probably going to snow, and I don't want to risk buying a ticket and having to cancel my trip into the city.
This is pretty much my thoughts on this. Be great to see it on a cinema screen, and with the surround sound, but I can forsee the audience singing along so I'd rather wait until the Blu-ray comes out.

Hoping the physical release will have 2 x CDs with the live audio like other fairly recent live Blu-rays have.

Also hoping we'll get the long talked about full 1989 tour released at some point in the near future too!

I think I can live with people signing (unless they are really really bad and/or very loud) but I wonder if they are likely to dance

There’s at least half a dozen! Just Google ‘Odeon Luxe London’ and pick the one nearest to you. :)

If you are looking for more comfort then Barbican is also worth considering

About the live audio, did they use crowd mics last year? because here in South America they have been installing a double mic pointing to the public before each show.

I have contacts at the BFI and asked if they were screening it. They said no but they are trying to get Neil and Chris to do something with them later next year...

That's normal for these kind of 'event' showings like concerts and the like. Cinemas always charge more.

Just looking at the listings for my own local cinema here in Ireland (who aren't showing Dreamworld :( ) and the prices for their showings of various operas live from the Royal Opera House or plays from the National Theatre are all more expensive than normal movies.

In france the concert will be broadcast there :

It’s the new luxury room at the Grand Rex which opens at the end of November!
With an extraordinary original look which will allow to change the color of the room according to the theme of the film, you will find reclining club chairs, Dolby Atmos sound, a Real-D ultimate screen unique in France which transmit the best quality of image and a bar at the back of the room with quality products.
