early reviews of Fundamental

#1 Post by Ghost within this house »

From the official site: a round-up of tidbits

Seems everyone is talking about Sodom and Gomorrah!

Fundamental reactions - 26 January '06
There have been a few advance press reactions to the “Fundamental” album in the last few days:

“The forthcoming Pet Shop Boys album is on the headphones, and it's a cracker. 'The Sodom and Gomorrah' show in particular, a great Friday night song if ever there was one.” Caspar Llewellyn Smith, The Observer

“The electro godfathers diss ID cards, the war on terror and dim celebrity boyfriends over thunderous Trevor Horn production on their best album for over a decade.” NME

“Already a candidate for song title of the year (‘The Sodom and Gomorrah Show’), this sees Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe return to the magnificently OTT disco pop of their heyday.” Q magazine

I bet marilyn manson wishes he came up with that title. love the positive reviews.but would like to hear a tad more about the other songs we know virtually nothing about.

"A candidate for song of the year" would have been much better.

“The forthcoming Pet Shop Boys album is on the headphones, and it's a cracker.”
Sounds really promising to me, yummie !
“... their best album for over a decade.”
Since 'Bilingual', then ... which means it 's
supposed to be better than 'Nightlife','Re-
lease' (that's nothing! Image) and 'Disco 3' ...
Their Best-Of compilation 'PopArt' ignored.

Couldn't you just vow to open it as soon as possible?

Then you'd have to keep that word

OVER a decade, so it supposed to be better that "Nightlife","Release" AND "Bilingual"

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll feel better now knowing the new album could be better than Bilingual.

They're hardly reviews, just Peter Robinson and his mate (i.e a couple of arseholes who wanna show off.)
