Fundamentalism track-listing - 4 April '06
A special edition of the new Pet Shop Boys' album, "Fundamental", will include a bonus dance album, "Fundamentalism", containing six remixes and two new tracks. The full track-listing is as follows:

1. Fugitive (Richard X extended mix)
2. Sodom (Trentmoller remix)
3. Psychological (Alter Ego remix)
4. Flamboyant (Michael Mayer remix)
5. I'm with Stupid (Melnyk mix)
6. In private (Stuart Crichton club mix)
7. Minimal (Lobe remix)
8. Gomorrah (Dettinger remix)

"Fugitive" was originally written at the beginning of last year and was recently completed with Richard X. "In private" is Pet Shop Boys' own version of the hit they wrote and produced for Dusty Springfield in 1989. It features vocals by Neil Tennant and Elton John.

It looks like they have decided not to release "Minimal (Tiga Remix)" yet.

Surprising this Elton John collaboration.

Funny, I was listening to the 12 inch mix of In Private today for the first time in many years thinking what a great track it is...........

So, does this suggest the second single will be Minimal?

the Lobe track on Back To Mine (Neil) is one of the better tracks there: ambient, smooth.. sounds promising

I was also listening to the Dettinger mix on there - also nice.

The remixes could be quite sophisticated.. no Superchumbo in sight (we hope!)

In Private could do without Elton John. His singing grates. And it's still only one new track. I don't know where Redman or the boys get the idea that there is two new tracks.

perhaps they should have said 'two new recordings'..

a well, Elton's appearance may well increase album sales, I guess. And who knows? It might work... it's such a fabulous song (though I can't see anyone improving on Dusty's vocal)

Yes, two new recordings.

Elton may increase album sales by a few but I doubt this new version will top the fabulous Shep Pettibone remix. Is Shep still alove, I miss the Shep Pettibone 12" mix.

Too many tech-house/deep house remixers. Someone a little more prog would have been appreciated. I see no stompers here.

there certainly are...

the latest:

each remix is actually a Superchumbo-style mix, but with ONE word from the title -

so the Trentmoller mix just goes Sodom - Sodom - Sodom - Sodom - Sodom - Sodom -

and the Dettinger mix just goes Gomorrah - Gomorrah - Gomorrah - Gomorrah - Gomorrah -
