Sounds intriguing. Any more hints you're willing to give Sync ? What PSB track is it most similar to ? How good is the production ?

Can't say too much but it has a PSB mix feel of Here and a hint of Blank and Jones (HAD) about it, whist remaining retro. The ending is rather abrupt.

If it was up to me they would only do stompers. They really can't do a ballad as good as they did them in the 80's or 90's

I've been trying to avoid these topics, I don't want my first listen of Fundamental tainted! I'm quite pleased at my willpower so far, I haven't heard or read much about any of the album tracks.

I too heard it courtesy of a friend.. it put me in mind of 'That's my impression'

It sounded really good, quite retro, as Syncratic said, with yet more wicked lyrics: more 'undertakers in bowler hats' to a disco beat, a la Neil in top hat let's get neon and wierd...

Well, since its out in a weeks time I'm sure its not that much of a hardship to wait 6 days or so for the track.

Sounds like another great PSB lyric, I think Neils really on form lyrically, stuff like Casanova, Minimal, S and G Show etc. etc. have some brilliant lyrics. Nothing dreary like E-mail or TNIFIL, thank god!

I've just officially deleted Fundamental from my mp3 player, so it'll sound quite fresh when I buy it. Sounds like The Resurrectionist will tide me over, I'll probably end up replacing one of the weaker Fundamental tracks with this one to give the album a little more oomph! (Bilingual required much creativity surgery to salvage a good album out of it; thank god for the absolutely stellar b-sides of that era).

Kudos to ya, Suburban Boy, wish I had some of your will-power, you're in for a treat on May 22nd.
