'I'm with stupid' - ONE LAST PUSH

Come on everyone, this is a final plea for one last push to make 'I'm with stupid' a top 10 UK hit.
Go out and buy another copy (or 3) of the single, just the £1.99 format will do. You can always sell them to your local 2nd hand shop next week!
It's slowly moving up itunes chart but, I fear, on downloads is where they may end up being overtaken by songs already in the chart. Buy the single version, it's the only one that really counts, and it's just 79p!!!

Charts don't really matter when you love the tunes & the act, but wouldn't we all prefer to see the boys in the top 10 rather than another disappointing top 15?! The album really needs a top 10 to kick it off.

BUY BUY BUY!

Ps. buy it today or tomorrow morning to guarantee your sale counts for Sunday's chart. And buy it from a chart-recognised store!

No offence, but I seriously don't go with buying twice to help the chart position. Smacks of desperation and Erasure fans!

I've bought my three formats, and that'll do nicely. Not fussed where they chart to be honest, as the charts mean so little these days.

Erasure fans pleas can't be very effective then. Judging by their recent chart positions.

I agree...of course I would like to see the Boys go top ten, one two etc but what would change if it is the same person buying the same thing over and over again? If it is number 5 with desperate efforts like we see and feel pity for Erasure (for instance fans in England may buy and send items to the fans abroad- my Amazon buy does not count for instance- when I see it in Erasure forums I ask: How desperate can one go

Breath was number 4. Did it help Erasure's preceding flop called Nightbird? No...

PSB are a well-proven act and Fundamental will sell on the strength of their name- if the album goes to the top, it is a bonus; if not, who cares when they are one of the most respected bands out of England?

Personally I would like to see Pet Shop Boys to rebel the charts, but guess that it isn't all their say. At the same time though, you need to make money as well as make music, but it is having the balance of both. The charts are a bit defeatest when most of it is Simon Cowell type manufactured pop. It is not just about music, but how you sell imagery. If groups went for imagery, we would be lucky to have Pet Shop Boys at all these days!

Even so they still do their best with silly hats and stuff to fit into today's society.

I don't care if they are No28 if they make enough money to enjoy what they do and I can buy their creations. The only thing good about being a No1 would be that they would deserve it more than those artists that rely on other people and sex to sell their singles.

A friend made a good point last night actually. Some of the famous composers around - imagine them trying to fit into a Pop Chart. Their music would never have been created in the same way had they been worried about image and how sexily they could play the piano.

I too bought the three formats, but not happy with the three formats.

Who cares about the charts? The majority of tracks that do make number one (especially in the UK) don't stay around for long and are soon forgotten, many of the acts that have them disappear also. Longevity of the music is the main thing, PSB have a proven record of this and I doubt not charting or making the top 10 really enters into Neil or Chris' heads these days.

It backfired, big time. Breathe reached number 4 but sold sod all. After two days,I'm with stupid was only 600 copies behind what Breathe sold the entire week. It's alright releasing debut songs in January but no one gets to hear it because no one bothers with the chart in January.

The higher track's position is, the more chances that local Russian promoters would bring the Boys for a gig here - that's my reason to but a few copies.

Surely not buying the offending too-short CD would make more sense than depriving yourself of a) one of the B sides and b) the first 7" they've put out for over a decade?

And it has COLOURED ARROWS on the vinyl. COLOURED ARROWS. What more could you ever possibly want?
