On a football (ish) note I was reading a book called Hooligan about football 'firms' the other day. Apparently in the 80s and early 90s the 'top boy' down at the Arsenal was our very own Dainton Connell. A story is recounted of how it 'all went off' in a Shrewsbury pub after some Pet Shop Boys gig tickets were offered to some local girls the 'local lads' taking a dislike to this.....

Hope this is not libellous, it is previously published after all....
Hello my name is Neil Tennant and I'm Chris Lowe and we're of the Pet Shop Boys.

Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

I'm working on a Minimal dance routine:

M (form 'M' with hands above head, YMCA style)
I (place fingers in front of eye)
N (form 'N' with hands above head etc..)
I (as above)
M (as above)
A (raise hands above head to form triangle)
L (drop left hand to horizontal)

It's wicked. I might try it out at Thetford.

I challenge you to pull that one off without looking like Kermit the Frog on speed. Bet you can't keep up with Neil spelling it out
