Are they still alive?

#1 Post by zazou »

I bought Fundamental+ism today and took it to work so I could listen to it. Later, on my way getting my jacket and going home I put the CD on a couch while putting on my shoes.

Someone picked it up and asked: is this recent? I said: released this monday, here on friday. Then he said, oh, they are still at it, are they still alive?
And somebody echoed him: are they still alive?

I replied: yes, they've gone back to their roots of electronic music, dropped that guitar fling.

You should have said 'No, they recorded it from beyond the grave'. ;)

Are they still alive? Jeez, the PSB are from the '80s not from the '40s and '50s.

That`s a comment I get from time to time from people who know I`ve liked PSB since I was 12 years old. If I haven`t seen them for years and/or we start talking about music and I say I like or still like PSB they laugh and say `are they still alive?!` Even though sometimes it`s been a case of the people who say it are actually older than or around the same age as the boys :-( cheeky sods!
Cat...

And there you are...

I get that type of comment about Pink Floyd (even after Live8) more than the PSB's... both of which are my favorite groups..must be something about the letter P, Bob.

they should fake their deaths and keep releasing stuff saying its from the archive. haha and have it about current events! artists are always more successful after they are dead

That´s what Conan O´Brien asked me when I was wearing my PSB-hat.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

It just shows how "deep" people are in music, mainly listening to radio and recent chart shite...
Chris Heath: Why you're surfing?
Chris Lowe: Coz we can!
Neil Tennant: Exactly. :D

"Oh the 80's band? Really? They still make albums?"

That's what I got from a CD store the other day...

I said: "Yes they do actually, they played the Impact Arena in 2002" (Impact Arena is a big 10,000 capacity arena on the outskirts of the city near the airport)

They said: "Same as where the Black Eyed Peas played right?"

I replied: "No they played at the Sony BEC Tero Hall in the city" (That venue holds only 3,000 people)

I just had to remind them that the boys still rock, you see.
