Buggles new album Fundamental features PSB
If you want to look at a very young Trevor Horn, then look no further at the videos posted at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xflkr2Go ... ch=buggles and look at the brilliant Elstree, Living in the Plastic Age and I Am A Camera (yes, Video's there too). Horn and Downsey look like a prototype PSB even.
If you watch these clips or buy either of the two Buggles albums (the more 'minimal' Age of Plastic or the more complex Advenutures In Modern Recording), you will hear sounds that found their way onto many a 80s or 90s track.
In fact the video for I Am A Camera looks like it inspired the cover for It's Alright.
Final link of the day - Gary Numan explored the concept of the 'dark park' on his album Replicas in 1979, most explictly in the track Down In the Park. It's about time PSB did a Numan cover - either Down in the Park or Complex. I am a huge fan of early Numan and I wonder how many other Petheads are?

I loved the Buggles, only had the first album on cassette somewhere. I've since downloaded Video Killed the Radio Star and Plastic Age as I've no idea where the cassette is.glennjridge wrote:LOVE the buggles song elstree. Video Killed The Radio Star is a flippin' excellent song, one of my all time favourites. One of my kids' favourite too, even though they were only born in 1997 and 2001. Brainwashing? pah. Libel!
