Who sings duet with Neil Tennant in "In Private"?

Dear all,

Can anyone of you tell me who sings duet with Neil Tennant in the song
"In Private" (which appears in the "Fundamentalism" CD)? My friend and I
think he sounds like Elton John. Is it true? When was this song released before?
I never heard of it before.

It IS Elton John. It does credit him on the CD sleeve. It's a new recording, and never released before as a duet.

Why don't you read it from the booklet? (Yes, it's EJ). Dusty Springfield recorded it in 1989, but this is the first properly recorded PSB version of the song.

I don't like the new version and I didn't notice it was
Elton John when I first heard it.
I was thinking I should know that voice somehow but
could not relate it to someone so I looked it up in the
booklet and was surprised not to have recognised it's
him.

I don't like that song very much anyway, neither the
Dusty nor the Elton 'version' ...

I like the Fundamentalism version for all its' trashiness.

It is kind of trashy, isn't it? It's really kind of dated but I still like it. Is this a case where they totally remixed it or they just gave it this new title with the remix to make it appear more cohesive with the new remixes. If it's a remix, i wonder what the original would have sounded like....more like a midtempo pop song?

seems like everybody's against this song
it's my favourite PSB song for last month and I can't stop listening to it
and I'm recommending it to everyone and all they say is that it sounds like cheesy trance
well, it is trance, but why does everybody say it's cheesy
it's just that kind of song, what did you expect it to be?
at least it stands out along with Fugitive from those horrible remixes on Fundamentalism
and I think this is the only and original version, but to fit in with the rest of remixes, they added Stuart Crichton club mix 'cause he produced it and it sounds like a club track.
same for Fugitive, that's also original version
and it was recorded at the same time of Flamboyant, so they're similar music style - I'd call it electro clash
