PSB autumn cross promotion plans

so we know that the following are set to be issued later this year:

Catalogue book
Nightlife (and Release) reissues
probable third Fundamental single
A Life In Pop DVD (why didn't they title it PopLife ?)
Radio 2 live album
two tracks on Robbie Williams album, poss one as a single

the North American tour kicks off in Canada in October, which is the same month the Catalogue book is set to be published.

Robbie's album apparently is set for a September release. Then there's the Radio 2 album due at some point before Xmas. Could it be packaged with a reissue of Fundamental? If so, it would be not be elegible for the UK charts as less then 80% of the tracks are from Fundamental. More likely PSB will do a Madonna and package A Life In Pop DVD with a free live album.

even so, they will have to drop at least one track as the concert ran for over 80 minutes.

Perhaps if the new Robbie single is a PSB track then one of the bonus tracks could also be his version of Jealousy, which could be left off the live album.

although has has been noted already, if Numb is the third single then maybe the live version will be featured instead of on the album.

I think it makes more sense to release Numb (or whatever is the single at that time) when they're touring Europe, in January.

so many releases, so many possibilities!

Nightlife further listening should come out next year! No words on 'Release' further listening. Think it won't come out before 2008.

I can't imagine EMI rushing to put out anything else for a while.

With sales so far of just 43,931 in the UK for Fundamental and the likelyhood of it falling out of the top 100 this week, I'm sure they'd like some cash in the bank from that venture before spending more on other releases.

There again, if Minimal does well, then it'll be a boost and who knows.....?!

Well all the above with the possible exception of the 2-CD reissues are definitely on course to hit the shops before the end of the year.

Maybe if they did actually package Fundamental as a Xmas Edition with the live album it would help sales if not the chart performance...

They're also talking about Potemkin and DiscoVery on DVD for 2006 but they may get delayed.

Probably will be third single as Neil mentioned Bright Young Things could well be on a single 'later this year' and it's not on Minimal.

have they actually said that DiscoVery has been planned as a DVD for 2006? I know Neil recently said that it will be released along with the complete 1989 tour film (probably with the Jarman 'Projections' VHS release included) and ICHH but that they may be a long long way off. "In the next few years" to be precise.

I'd hate to see Fundamental re-issued as a special X-Mas edition, they've already had one special edition!

Yeah this makes sense, and two of the guest vocalists from the gig are featured in the documentary as well.
