When you click on the PSB link you can see the Miracles video. GM's playlist is pretty eclectic:

Prince Sign 'O' The Times
Roberta Flack First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
Aretha Franklin I Say A Little Prayer
The Pogues Fairytale Of New York
Led Zeppelin The Crunge
Joy Division Isolation
Daft Punk Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
Pink Floyd On The Run
Fleetwood Mac Sara
Pet Shop Boys Hit Music
New Order Regret
Madonna Vogue
Don McLean Vincent
Queen She Makes Me (Stormtrooper In Stilettos)
Roxy Music More Than This
Massive Attack Risingson
Coldplay Yellow
Radiohead Paranoid Android
Kate Bush Heads We're Dancing
Dolly Parton Jolene
Soul II Soul Keep On Movin'
The Smiths The Queen Is Dead
Starsailor Lullaby
The Rolling Stones Sympathy For The Devil
Faithless Insomnia (Monster Mix)
The Isley Brothers That Lady
Michael Jackson Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough
Sade Love Is Stronger Than Pride

He has good taste. "Hit Music" may not be particularly popular with members of this forum judging from some of the things said about this track, but I like it :)

Can't go wrong with Dolly Parton, New Order or The Pogues, either :)

A lot of good artists on the list, but I would personally have chosen completely different tracks by most of those artists.

I love PSB, but don't like Hit Music much.

I like Michael Jackson, but don't like Don't Stop Till You Get Enough.

I like New Order, but find Regret average.

I could go on. Nice choices on the songs from Prince, Radiohead, Faithless and The Pogues.

I like Hit Music, the lyrics' sting in the tail "desperate" is Neil at his best
You can fly away to the end of the world
but where does it get you to?

I love Hit Music. I especially like the bit where Neil says 'in Stereo' and the word stereo is actually in stereo. Very clever.

For almost every artist on his list, GM picks one of their key tracks, best-known or most essential tracks. For Pet Shop Boys he picks one of their very worst album tracks ever.

It's funny. I remember reading about how much GM loved It always comes as a surprise in the Bilingual reissue booklet, but when I asked him about it he couldn't remember the song at all! Bloody pothead

Funny, coz according to PSB the slow ending of Hit Music was mainly influenced by G. Michael´s "Careless Whisper"!;)
Chris Heath: Why you're surfing?
Chris Lowe: Coz we can!
Neil Tennant: Exactly. :D

Interesting he neglected to include his all time favourite artists Stevie Wonder and Elton John. Must be 'cos he fell out with them. Mind you, he fell out with Jacko too.

I always thought George did a nod to PSB's 'Before' on 'Outside', with the extended Before, before, before bit.

Disagree.

Hit Music is better than nearly all the album tracks on Bilingual and Nightlife.

I could tell you tons about what happened on the flight that PSB and GM too back from South America on the Discovery tour. It's scandalous, but of course I'm not going to.
