Minimal DVD

#1 Post by patrick »

My usual source hasn't been able to get the Minimal DVD. Does anyone know any reliable (and inexpensive) online shops?

I got mine from Sirendisc.com. They are reliable & their price is $8.99 plus shipping & tax.
Hope that helps.
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...

I have an order pending with Siren but I'm disappointed once more...

Perhaps I don't understand the supply chain, but if you get X PRE-orders how can the publisher be so stupid as not to send you enough to fulfill them??

Siren is the only place I've seen the DVD online (the only US-based place).

<sigh>

Lucas.

PS, I downloaded BoB tonight from eMule to satisfy my curiosity. :)
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

You can try www.plato.nl they have some in stock. I order all my PSB singles there now. works like a charm.

Maarten from the good old Introspective mailinglist works there. :D He brought me back the vinyl of I'm with stupid 7'' from the UK.

I cancelled my order from amazon.co.uk and ordered it from one of their market sellers

I ended up using the book depository and received it within a week.

I can't play my Minimal DVD on a normal DVD player just the PC. Is this right?

I'm with Stupid DVD played on my DVD player with no troubles...

Still haven't got my DVD yet from Amazon - what went wrong with EMI's distribution system?

Will the single re-enter the chart when all the pre-orders get delivered?

Some chart insider will tell me at what point a sale is included in the chart (order or despatch?)

OOOOHH!!! Maybe you have here the point why the Minimal DVD is so delayed!!!! A defective first pressing!!!!They realized to this at the last moment, and now are replacing them with corrected copies...This can make sense...

My PC can't play it either... same with the 'I'm with Stupid' DVD. To be honest, this might even be deliberate. At the very least, the discs only playing on non-PC DVD players probably isn't deemed a fault worth repressing the entire run for. I wonder what WOULD make them repress it? My gut instincts say that even if the entire thing were blank they'd just ignore it. I've encountered 7"s (non-PSB) before that have been defective in every copy I've tried and EMI haven't done anything about.
I must disengage your recreational music.

Plays silly buggers on my PC too. The menu plays in fits and starts, but if you choose from the menu quik enough, the video track plays fine.

If this is protection, it stinks. :(
