Johnny Marr to perform with psb in L.A.?

#1 Post by Young Offender »

Johnny Marr is in town in L.A. playing with an existing band he apparently had joined called " Modest Mouse" , they performed last night in hollywood and are performing thursday night in Anaheim, CA.

So he is free Wednesday Night?

So is there a slight chance he may make a special last minute guest appearance at The Wiltern on Wed. Night?

Would be interesting to see?

I'd be pissed.... especially if they did Disappointed, but it would be cool.

In '99 Bowie was *supposed* be be just across the street in ATL doing a CNN interview and there was lots of "hope" he'd show up.

...he didn't.

The next night at the same Venue Robbie was doing a show and I went just in case the boys came out.

..they didn't

Lucas.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

But Robbie was in attendance during the PSB show...first balcony, center. I chatted with his bodyguard a bit.

I thought they kicked ass, with the drummer and the set up they had, computers, keyboards, especially since the debut album had not yet been released at that time.

Oh and then Neil & Chris on stage too!

DM knew how to pick openning acts back then. OMD in 1988 and Electronic in 1990.

I remember that, I also bought a pair of tickets, but took them back once it was cancelled.

Their set list doesn't allow for a Marr appearance- Up against it anyone?! Would be blinding if it ever did happen though, that and I didn't get where I am today. Perfect.

Agreed. And I hate the idea of PSB having a 'special guest guitarist' even if it is Johnny.
