Argentina Fundamental--bootleg?

#1 Post by EricMontreal22 »

Odd random question... I recently found out a bunch of my cds by one of my top artists, Mylene Farmer were cheap russian bootlegs--so of course being the geeky collector I am I had to go and replace them all with legit copies.

I often order the cheapest version of a CD I can find online and whenI got Fundamental/ism last Spring I only recently realized my copy is from *argentina* complete with a little warning in Spanish (?) on the back page. the quality of disc, art and packgaing is great tho'. Not knowing anything about S American copyright laws (all I've learned about Bootleg CDs is if it's Russian or taiwanese it's usually illegal...) can someone tell me if this is an official release or not?

thanks!
E

Brilliant thank you! Where is that page from?
Anyway as silly as it sounds that's a weight off my shoulder--I'd hate to think I had a bootleg and wasn't supportive :D

There is a hologram that says genuine thats often used in regions that have high levels of music piracy to help make sure your buying the genuine product.

Last week I bought the Argentina release of Fundamental/ism and when I arrived at home I realised that tha CD case (under the slipcase) not the black one, just a regular transparent double CD case. I went back to the shop and I changed the CD for the USA release.

Yep, it´s that way on the argentinean rekease...transparent double jewel case, not black. We only get this kind of "special" releases for local artists... I was even surprised when I saw the outer cardboard sleve on the argentinean Fundamentalism...!
A curiosity about this release is that it was out a week earlier than the UK/EU ones...the same day as the japanese, if I´m not wrong...
This is not my signature.
