King's Cross cover...

#1 Post by VernianProcess »

Hey all,

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, and hopefully it's on topic. I just wanted to share a cover I posted of King's Cross. It's one of my favorite PSB's tracks, and hopefully some of you guys will appreciate it. It's a song that most people wouldn't recognize, but fellow PSB's fans likely know it well.

My project is based on 19th Century Sci-Fi (Jules Verne, etc.), so I try to do all of my work in a suitable style to that period. King's Cross already had a lot of the right atmosphere I wanted, so it was a perfect track for my project. Hope you guys get a kick out of it. I know I'm no Neil Tennant, but I'm pretty happy with my vox. Thanks again,

Josh

I like the version but your voice is a little off key sometimes (like Neil's sometimes live) :) Anyway, good work on the music and great sounding. Could/would you send the instrumental version to me? baddijo@simnet.is if you can, I might try singing it myself and find out how I'd perform a Pet shop boys song myself. Cheers!

Thanks. Yeah my vocals have gotten a lot better over the past two years, but they still aren't quite right. I can probably upload an instrumental version. I'll try to get it up in the next day or so. I'll drop you a line when it's done.

Thanks again!

Yeah I agree about the vocals, but the arrangement is very nice, sounds almost like an OMD cover of kings cross :D

I'm really impressed with the arrangement of this cover. I've always loved this track and I really should play it more often. A job really well done in my humble opinion!

If you could do an instrumental it would be a fab addition to my collection.

Good luck with the projects!!

ps. I love your version of Subculture !!!

I have to agree with everyone else -- excellent version. I like even like the vocals, in a demo-y way.
