vynal or cd's

Decided to hook up my old record player today, I forgot just how good it feels to scimm through all my old records, theres something about vynal you just dont get with cd's, even the crackling at the start, brings back great memories

I agree, it's nice to get the record player out occasionally and have a browse through my vinyl.

It does sound warmer, and the little crackles and pops add something rather than taking away.

And of course, there's also the fetishistic quality of vinyl... it smells and feels great

I believe the popularity of vinyl has been increasing in the UK over the past few years. I can understand the 7" market dying off, but the 12" single format seems reasonably strong. Don't know about LP's - anyone?

I get more cds, though vinyl is better than cd, they sound better. My vinyl collection is not huge at all. I have PSB's "Please", "Actually" , "Disco", and some singles on vinyl and "Introspective" also, and the rest on cd. I do not have a good working turntable anymore so if I buy a unique vinyl, its more for something to frame.

Vinyl attracts dust more easily and more difficult to clean without scratching
