Not a very good list of albums to be honest. But Disco 4 will not reach the top 40 at all.

In the album chart, the releases for that week doesn't matter. It's the steady sellers which will clog the top 40 in every week. It's not a case of chart high and then fall rapidly like with the singles. It will struggle to reach top 75.

That's the thanks they get for 20+ years of constantly surprising us, doing things differently, releasing innovative product that has never followed the flock, staging fantastic (expensive) stage productions and most importantly writing and recording wonderful music that makes us all happy.

They "owe" us nothing.

Surely Disco 4 wont be eligible for the normal chart and if it does chart it will chart in the COMPILATION chart.

I'm sure he meant EMI is taking the piss, not PSB. PSB probably wanted more goodies released with this, but EMI shot them down.

If so then I apologise - just a little tired of people acting like PSB owe them exactly what "they" want all the time. Of course the problem with blaming EMi is that the official site said quite clearly that PSB themselves wanted to gather together their remixes a la Disco 4. And why shouldn't they??

Cheers

THe cd is EMI's doing, not PSBs. I will buy it because I am a fan and they do not owe us anything. But why EMI needed this rushed project out now is beyond me.

Maybe top 50 not more: there too many great artists out in that week and than the most of PSB fan base will not buy that CD...

Did you actually read the original announcement on the OS?

Whereas previous albums in the series have mainly included remixes of PSB tracks by other artists and DJs, Chris and Neil were keen to collect on one album some of their remixes of other artists and their own recent remixes of PSB tracks.

There are new releases from the Sugababes, Mariah Carey and The Hives, which are probably all candidates for a top ten position. Jennifer Lopez (I have no idea how her last album fared in the UK) and Leona Lewis will surely have quite good sales well. Looks like a tough week to me.

Apart from that: No, the PSB don't "owe" us anything, but if they want my money they better deliver the goods. I'm with dVTB on this one.
