I do my best to not think about things like this as it is truly upsetting to look at. I couldn't bring myself to watch any of those clips, just the reminder is enough.

Truly disgusting that things like this still go on in this day and age. :(

Sorry to veer OT.

Most Spanish people don't like bullfightings. Neither do I.

Then they should do something about it and pressurise the government to get it banned.

I won't hold my breath though... :(

Really, is bullfighting any worse than factory farming? Go visit a chicken battery or abbatoir and tell me that it is.

well in the case of animals for food proccesing, its brutal conditions, but it comes across as for neccesary purpose.

any type of getting animals to fight each other should be outlawed though, from roosters to dogs to bulls,or bullfighting.whatever.and if there are ways to make animals in the food processing system have less horrible conditions that should be done also.

It's not as easy as you think. For example, one of the most famous festivals around the world is San Fermin. The most famous event is the encierro, the running of the bulls, with many people running in front of bulls. It's a worlwide well famous event with many visitors every year. Millions of people around the world love it (not only spaniards). It's imposible to get it banned, nowadays.

It's not remotely "necessary". Nobody "needs" ribeye steaks, just as nobody "needs" bullfighting. I fail to see why one is appreciably crueller than the other.
