Natasha Richardson

#1 Post by Deschanel »

Sigh.. this afternoon it seems the reports are that she has been pulled from life support. Yesterday there was a flurry of news and speculation, declaring her dead. Or brain-dead. There was hope that it was wrong and mistaken. There was some hope. I guess it's gone.

Natasha is Vanessa Redgrave's daughter, Liam Neeson's wife, someone who comes from a great British acting family but also was a great New Yorker, Broadway royalty, and stories abound of her and Neeson being a glamorous, but gracious and approachable couple about town. She had an injury on a beginner's ski-slope on Montreal and now there's a vigil for her. The prognosis isn't good.

I just hate it when awful things happen to good people. Life can be fleeting, and its a damned shame.

Yeah, it's really sad. I thought he was married to the one in Nip/Tuck but looking at the pictures of her, she was really gorgeous.

Natasha Richardson Is Dead At 45

Mar 18th, 2009 | NEW YORK -- A spokesman for the family of Natasha Richardson says the actress has died.

Richardson, a gifted and precocious heiress to acting royalty whose career highlights included the film "Patty Hearst" and a Tony-winning performance in a stage revival of "Cabaret," died after suffering an apparent head injury from a skiing accident. She was 45

Alan Nierob of Rogers & Cowan said in a statement Wednesday night: "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

cues stings "fragile"

its been in the papers today and I just read on TMZ.com she's gone.
I didnt know much about her except she was married to liam neeson who is a awesome actor and in one of my alltime favorite movies "shindlers list".

sadly she had a couple sons. I wish she had been wearing a helmet.

Just saw it in the news. What a terrible tragedy for her family and friends. My heart goes out to them all. :(
And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung
It's in the music...

How awful. Thoughts go out to her family.
That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

R.I.P. Natasha.
To be honest I only knew of her because of the part she played in "Maid in Manhattan". My thoughts are with the family.
You, you're my lover, you're my hope, you're my dreams my life, my passion, my love, my sex, my money
