Sorry to start a new thread about this, but I really feel the need to express my feelings about what a tosser Bono is. Where does this deep hatred come from? Is it rational? Does anyone like him?

First of all WHY the name calling??? Does it make any point. It's like starting a thread like "Chris is G**". There is NO point this whats so ever. And if there even was a point it belongs in the "VERY" off topic section. I like U2 for their music not because what Bono says or does. I like PSB for their music not because the fact they're gay, straight or bi. In both casses I coudn't care less.

Well, regardless of how tiresome I can find his little 'quests', he puts on a bloody good concert. U2 at Twickenham a couple of years ago was absolutely amazing from start to finish... can't wait to go again this summer.
Although I was somewhat amused at the contrast between 'save the poor' and 'spent multi-millions on fancy lighting', it was still absolutely fabulous.
And Radiophonic- I thought Bono was a CRAB. The glasses prove it, surely?

I don't understand why a personality of someone moves in front of his music...His music, his lyrics, his voice are all suberp (well at least until Pop album). I love U2 very much; they are in my top five bands ever so I don't care about his pompous character etc

While he was writing genuinely brilliant stuff, you could excuse his ego.
