Animal Collective's album is fantastic, my favourite of the year. I have 2 or 3 other songs from it "bubbling under" my top 20.

Try BBC Radio 6, they play a lot of good 'alternative' stuff (and by alternative i mean not mobile phone music or weasly English boys ripping off the worst US RnB Balls).
Radio 1 has some good newer music but there's too much chaff to tolerate. Generally, however, not many of the songs get radio support, so you'd be better checking out the Web.
