Yeah definatly. I bet Sol Campbell is gutted on missing out on such a fixture.

A good draw for us. Might have been really tricky if it were one leg. We really need a few top players now if Spurs are to step up another level. Cover at centre back because Woodgate and King are struggling. A midfielder that can score and a top notch striker.

How do you fancy Leeds' chances? There isn't a lot of focus on them for once, which should be in their favour.

Didn't Sol just get married to an interior designer? I was doubly shocked to discover that she was female.

Live on the BBC tomorrow! I'm really not sure how we'll do. We looked good in the cups against championship opposition last year and we've made some good looking signings but we've not really signed a pacey striker to replace Beckford. I think Grayson is a great manager and might take us back to the Premiership in the end if Bates doesn't get jittery at the first string of bad results. To be honest this year I'd be happy with a mid-table finish but you never know what will happen!

lol.

Yeah, maybe she's a chick with a dick. The Newcastle fans have already wound him up by calling him fat belly, or something like that. It does look like he's hit the chocolate, though.

Leeds are basically the BBC's new Newcastle; they'll be all over The Football League Show this season. However I don't see them pulling up any trees though like most of the division they're in with a shout of the play-offs. I think the Championship is wide open this year; last season the two relegated clubs were a class above everybody else but both Hull and Portsmouth have off-field problems and Burnley have Brian Laws. Middlesbrough are probably rightly the favourites given the money they've spent but teams take time to gel, although Kris Boyd will score goals for fun at this level. That's why I reckon QPR are in with a shout: Flavio's sodded off, Warnock is a proven Championship manager, and they've signed some decent players (Paddy Kenny in goal, Bradley Orr at left-back). They've got the most creative midfield in the division (Buzsaky, Faurlin and Taarabt) so once they sign a couple of new strikers, I think they'll have a very strong team.

Yeah that's my point really. It's a really unpredictable league. We're not favourites for automatic promotion by a long shot but with a following wind we might sneak into the play-offs. Equally we could end up in a relegation dogfight which is why I said I'd be happy with mid-table.

Actually I was thinking of Gary Hooper... Sadly Ken Bates was too much of a tight-arse to pay the transfer fee and Celtic stepped in...

Ken Bates is an idiot. I really wish someone would buy him out. I think he looks more like Papa Smurf, myself...

On the positive side, the last time we lost the first game of the season we went on to win the old second division...

Capello is either taking the piss, losing the plot or wants the sack

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8894651.stm

Obviously changes were needed and from a personla point of view, i'm glad most Spurs players aren't involved (although this could be due to Champs League anyway) but surely the whole debacle of the Summer was enough to get shot of crap like Lampard and Terry. How they still in the squad? The same with Glen Johnson and Gareth Barry.

I hope England get leathered but more than anything, i hope Lampard and Terry get slaughtered (and the complete muppet we obviously have in charge)
