what blows my mind is, doesnt berts gay lifestyle conflict with his islamic leanings?
I mean it wasnt all that long ago he was on the news for being featured on a flag at a islamic protest.

my Dad loves Bert and Ernie and was intrigued about this story. maybe he's in denial, I pointed out the homosexual desire and wish for community in Wind Of The Willows (one of his favourite books to collect) once and he was surprised, despite his brother being a 'bummer' - calm down 'bummer' is quite obviously a jokey non threatening term in the context I've used it, not 'disgusting homophobia' Hi Neil

I wish some people on this forum were more aware of what is homophobic language really is. If in doubt just avoid commenting.

well I'll have a go at my mate who's gay and uses the term amongst others. When you get in the world of only certain races and sexualities can use terms then that will lead to divisions and is a stupid unintelligent route to go down. Read my post as well, where did I say my father used the term?
I also apologise for calling my friend a pikey when he was trying to get something out of a bin, it obviously means I agree with Hitlers policies towards the Romany community

I always assumed bert and ernie were brothers.
but I can prove that bert and ernie arent gay. if you watch early clips of them they are sleeping in seperate beds. pressumably if it was an injoke and they were always designed as a gay couple from the start they would have slept in the same bed from the start also.but they werent.

I've given this some thought.

I lived with a woman for a long time, as in dating, and we slept in seperate beds as I moved a lot in my sleep and she was a very very light sleeper. obviously shagging and all that the rules broke down but a good nights kip meant seperate beds

I've got the Seinfeld box set. I was quite surprised how patchy it was in the beginning, having watched a load of the later episodes when it was on BBC2 in the 1990s. My favourite is season four which is completely amazing, and is all about George and Jerry pitching their sitcom to NBC. It's Larry David at his most postmodern. George is of course the best thing about the show.

And Seinfeld famously has the most disappointing finale in TV history. Even worse than Grandpa Flump hanging himself in the final episode of the eponymous series.

I really thought they missed the boat with that curb your enthusiasm episode where they got the set all together and all the cast again. while they had everything in place, rather than film a couple scenes for the curb your enthusiasm episode they should have just banged out a seinfeld stand alone full episode. it would have sold zillions and possibly unseated the terrible finale.

george is my favorite also.
love this scene...where he is complaining about how some guy was "be boppin and scattin" all over him.
