more banging and lasers

#1 Post by alig »

Ok,

which one of you made "Electric" happen by asking them to be more banging and lasers? :)

Ziggy, what's happened to your signature, with your Electric logo & the other attachment?
Since yesterday every page you're on is stretching beyond the page I'm viewing.
It's the signature that's stretched, it looks weird.
Can you check it please?

This is what it looks like.

I've deleted the Last.fm image so it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

It looked OK to me (it was complete), if this helps :-)

No problemo. I did think it was a bit on the wide side, but I'm happy enough with my Electric/Elysium hybrid. 8)

I think the original line was "more strobes and banging". It was mentioned in the comments of one of Geowayne's polls.

It was indeed me..! However, it wasn't posted on iTunes. I wrote on one of Geowayne's poll threads that the next tour "should be even better...more strobes and banging."

The first mention of the post that Neil and Chris made was on an Elysium era Radio 2 interview with Graham Norton. Transcript went as follows:

Graham: So the next tour will be a rather nice, subdued affair?
Neil: Well will it?!! Actually, someone wrote on iTunes or some website somewhere that they want our next tour to be even better, more strobes and...what was the other thing?
Chris: Banging!
Neil: More strobes and banging, so we're actually going to take advise from this person and our next tour will be more strobes and banging.

Over time they seem to have mistakenly attributed my post to a negative comment elsewhere. Never once have I slated Elysium...I love the album.

Due to the nature of Neil and Chris' response to my post, my wife and friends tell me that Electric is my PSB album..! I was also quietly pleased with myself watching the lasers come out at their show..! I was going mental (as I normally do at a PSB gig) thinking "could a fan of a band really have influenced all of this?" Although some may beg to differ, I like to think I did..! The whole experience could only have been bettered if the tour was called "Banging"...!!!

Peace.
More strobes and BANGING, please!

You sneaky bugger! :) They should give you a share of their profits. Either that or give you an access all areas pass.
Talking of influences: "Bolshy" definitely came from the NME review on Elysium:

"....‘A Face Like That’, a bolshy dancefloor jam that sounds like, and is truly as good as, their early stuff.

Straight_Talker - wow! I'm glad to know this story as it is. So, Neil and Chris do read Geowayne's site and even the poll discussions?? I have to take notice what I'm writing there!! :D
