Panto bliss speech remix

#1 Post by stussyboy »

Pop justice has just tweeted a link to a PSB remix of a speech by someone called PantiBliss (?)

Sounds genuine, backing vocals sound like Neil

Anyone shed any light?

It's absolutely authentic -- and wonderful. I've posted some preliminary background info and commentary on it on my website, specifically at http://www.geowayne.com/newDesign/other/oppressive.htm. What I say about it is, however, very much a work in progress at this early juncture. I'll post more as I learn more.

Gay rights are, obviously, very important and I understand that they are especially of interest to Neil & Chris, but when I hear this my first thought is: what a waste of a beautiful backing track.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

The Boys and their music must mean a lot to you, but what a waste of a comment on the Forum.

Panti's real name is Rory. I wonder whether "Brendan" is a middle name or his partner (name of Soundcloud account).
EDIT: Brendan is the name of the man who intereviewed Rory when he made is initial comments about homophobia. The speech is part of a wider story about gay rights, homophobia and the media. Check out the website of EG Social under "#Pantigate How an Irish drag queen demonstrated the the full-fabulous-Streisand effect.
