Poll ends soon on your three favorite songs of the "Bilingual era"

#1 Post by geowayne » Fri 26 Jul 2019, 5:34 am

Hey there! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last full day of my current poll, which asks you to pick your three favorite Pet Shop Boys songs of their "Bilingual era." If you haven't already placed your votes, please take a moment to visit my "Commentary" site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and make your choices right there on my home page.

On Sunday I will end this poll, post the final results, and launch a new survey for the week ahead.

Thanks to everyone who has already voted! And I hope you all have a terrific weekend!

Nice poll

Interesting that Paninaro is so far down the list and Red Letter Day so far on top.

Kinda nice to see they still have a nuanced fanbase, beyond the banging-lasers brigade.

Se A Vida and Up Against It are the core Bilingual era tracks for me, but I can understand people shying away from them :)

Thanks!

I'm actually somewhat surprised at the unusually high number of voters in this poll -- considerably more than in the preceding Very and Behaviour polls. Most intriguing!

Feels to me that this album features a lot more (what we in the UK would call) 'Marmite' tracks. You either love 'em or hate 'em! Maybe this has led to more votes as people defend their favourites?
