PET SHOP BOYS - Top 10 of the decade (2010-2019)

#1 Post by nickname » Fri 01 Nov 2019, 3:48 pm

At least, PSB wanted to surprise for Christmas time. I think we already know all the PSB songs released for this decade. This is a REALLY argueably ranking of their most "succesful songs").

10-Love is a bourgeois construct (YV: 1.000.000. Chart position: 105)
One of the best songs from Electric with a very powerful chorus and orchestra. A good song but with no real chorus.

9-Dreamland (YV: 600:000. Chart position: -)
I think it deserves a better position on this list but the song doesn't have may views on Internet but if airplays mean success it could be a Number 1 or 2

8-Twenty Something (YV: 1.300.000. Chart position: -)
It has a proper video and on physical singles sales it worked REALLY good.

7-Winner (YV: 1.500.000. Chart position: 86)
The song was listened a lot at the Olympic Games in London. The little concert with the olympics was a triumph for the song and PSB themselves

6-Together (YV: 1.500.000. Chart position: 58)
A lot of airplay (not only Radio 2) and really good video.

5- Vocal (YV: 2 M aprox)
For PSB is the best song of this decade, one of the highlights from Super concerts. They are playing the song on every tour since then.

4 - The pop kids (YV: 2.300.000)
The song was played on The Grahan Norton Show and well it was the main single from Super and fans liked it.

3- Axis (Yv: 2.300.000)
It was the opening of the Electric show and album and the first contact with the album. So I think that's the reason why the song has menay views on Youtube.

2-Thursday (Youtube views: 2.300.000. Chart position: 61)
This is a song could have been a success in the golden days. In fact, it has a reasonable good chart position for PSB taking to account their age at that time and it was the third single from the album.

1-Leaving (YV: 2.400.000. Chart position: 44)
The only one Top 50 from PSB this decade and with more views on the net. Even with some international chart positions.

But I sais it is very argueably, what's for you the real PSB top 10 of the decade?
