Linger by the Cranberries. Turn it into a Hi-Nrg disco stomper with Bananarama handling the chorus (I would also love to hear Tom Waits or Nick Cave cover this song in their own styles).
Can We Start Again by the Tindersticks.
Feelin' Good - Nina Simone.
Rollercoaster by Everything But the Girl.
The Last Good Day of the Year by Cousteau.

It’s all true - Tracey Thorn

But I’d love them to go way out west and do something like Thunderstruck by AC/DC.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

They should release a studio version of 'It's not unusual'. I've always liked that live recording, despite its bad sound quality.

Didn't they used the Single/Discoteca drums for this? At least it sounded like them. The cover was very Bilingual-esque. :)

I have thought for years they should cover Roxy Music's "Same Old Scene" and/or "Both Ends Burning." In case you don't know the songs, here are links:

"Same Old Scene": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXOgQN1a7bE

"Both Ends Burning": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFeqtXMKZ4U

Maybe a Leonard Cohen song. Boys know how to disintegrate a song into its fragments only to bring them together in the most unusual and startling way. The farther the source genre is, the better they do this cover thing (is this a gramatically true sentence.?) And Leonard Cohen songs are quite open to new interpretations and do work well as çovers. Joe Cocker's First We Take Manhattan cover is as good as Always on my mind, IMHO

I would be most interested in a cover of Al Stewart's album Year of the Cat in its entirety but I would settle for the title track.
A Chris-inspired updated synth soundtrack along with Neil's vocals would be pure gold!

Chris joked several times that they should do a cover of "How much is that doggy in the window?"

So many songs mentioned here that already sound very PSB-esque!! Why do you need PSB to cover it?
One of the biggest PSB virtues is how they get songs that doesn´t sound like stuff they can cover...turn they upside/downd and create a completely new anthem from them.
Always on my mind, Glad all over, My Girl, Where the Streets, The last to die...

This subject always appears time to time on the forum, and I´m still dreaming about a PSB rework of Kermit The Frog´s "The rainbow connection"...I would love to be surprised on what they they do with that beautiful melody!! ;)
This is not my signature.

I’d love the boys to cover The Seekers - The Carnival is Over
