I would attribute this to the popularity of the Russell Davies series and the Elton & Olly recording.

Of course, it had its influence.

This is like believing streams have any relevance whatsoever. Charts for people who can't even be arsed to download let alone buy physical.

I know. One of the sad things about the world today. In my youth you made excited trips to the record shop for new releases, went on days out to big cities to pick up rarities and were thrilled when you found one, socialised with friends face to face. Now people don't even get out of their bedrooms, don't 'get' the joy of collecting and just communicate by social media. Modern life is rubbish.

I really, really, really miss those days. I’m glad I got to experience how it was before. On the other hand, the world moves on and I guess the youngsters don’t miss what they’ve never known.

This is perfectly normal middle-aged nostalgia. Things change, and modern people can experience more albums than ever before for a fixed price. It's got its ups and downs.

Oh, the excitement of waiting for the clock to hit 0:00 for Spotify to stream the lastest new song by Favourite Artist.
