Harry Styles

“As it was” by Harry Styles

For me this is a standout for 2022.

Pure pop and a lovely song. Has that special melancholy mixed with optimism vibe that I love so much.

For some reason … probably delusional it reminds me a little of “The way it used to be” … perhaps the driving rhythm and the processed vocals part near the end of the song … not sure maybe just me.

I’m actually looking forward to giving his album a few spins tomorrow
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

It's his greatest solo hit so far (at least chartwise). I feel it could have been a bit longer. The first listen was a bit meh but it gets better with every new ear contact. :)
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

I agree...i completely glazed over the One Direction Era and all the other solo stuff, but thing song and video totally impressed me.
Left to my own devices, I probably would...

Btw, his new album is out today. You should give it a listen. The track I highly recommend is the last one:
