We would like to send our love and condolences to everyone who has suffered pain and loss as a result of the terrorist massacre in Moscow. We have played in the Crocus City Hall and are horrified that once again music fans have been targeted. And the horror is made worse in Moscow because the response and motives of the Russian leadership cannot be trusted.

Pointless political posts by synthpop English duo strike again. I know that the older you get, the less sharp-witted you are, but their twitter/fb activity in this dimension is so embarrasing. And I am really not happy about they constant bitching about Putin as well. This is something sad to me when artists try to comment political reality in such a direct manner and take a cross for opressed nations. There is a thin line and there are always questions... You can be a peace ambasador in the UN and an activist or brilliant artist writing lyrics of I'm with stupid or Hell ilk. But it is just me - I know some people are more idealistic and even expect that their idols will be vocal when it comes to Russian terror, AIDS in Africa, droughts in China...

However, this post is much worse than just annoying. No need to explain.

In the video interrogation they said the following:
1. Tajiks committed the terrorist act for money and religious reasons.
2. The task was given to them by a religious Islamic preacher.
4. They were trained in Turkey. (They flew there specially).
5. Received instructions via Telegram.
6. When asked who you had to kill, they said it didn't matter, they killed everyone.

Some media are trying to find a Ukrainian trace in this terrorist attack, but all the facts speak of an attack by Islamic terrorists.

The same organisation shot down a Russian passenger plane in Egypt in 2015.

Russia still has a visa-free regime with Azerbaijan, Turkey, Tajikistan and other countries, which may have a negative impact on uncontrolled criminal traffic.

Pet Shop Boys performed at that venue and I know many who went to their concerts there.

Hope they make it a good song, since if they get caught up in the headlines (which they rarely do) then I'd hope the song is strong enough to speak for itself.

It's quite a sad feeling knowing they might never play in Russia again, especially if they did play at this venue as Parkol said.

These photos have been posted entirely without context on the end of an emotive post and I have literally no idea who these people are. Given how much misinformation is swirling about these days, especially with regards to events in Moscow, it would be helpful and responsible to say ‘this is a photo of _______’ if you’re going to drop them in here.

Who is letting the "finger wavers" have their way? This thread is indisputably on-topic - until it isn't. I agree with you - if people think it should be off-topic they can choose to avoid it. By the same token, if the thread starts to get used for aspects of this issue that go way beyond the fact that PSBs tweeted about an incident in Moscow - or for other agendas - then a different call might need to be made. In the end, you'd hope people would engage with the thread in a reasonably sensitive way. But we won't shut it down for simply being "political".

I find it perplexing that fans find the ideological stances of PSB irritating. It's not as if Neil or Chris have been hiding them. They take stances on many issues: gay rights (I agree), rock music (I don't agree), state of modern pop music (I both agree and don't agree), trumpism (I agree with them), putinism (I agree), merchandise (I don't agree). Anyway, as long as they don't go completely bollocks I have nothing against them. Their first single was extremely political and their 2nd album as well. Now, they're older and can express whatever they want whenever they want. Anyway, there shouldn't be anything to critizise in Neil's latest tweet.
