Simple Minds connection

I just picked up a copy of Glittering Prize, Simple Mind's 1992 GH collection. It cost me about 0,5 €. I've been meaning to buy this record for the last 30 years so I thought it was about time. And to my surprise (although I know I should've known) a handful of tracks were produced but Lipson or Horn.
It's too much to take in all their back catalogue but I like their early sound. Don't know too much about their stuff from beyond the 90's though.

I had this on cassette in the early 90s. I'd strongly recommend the New Gold Drem album if you don't know it already

New Gold Dream is a heck of an album, really a must-listen.

Yes, wow. Never heard that song before but you're right. And I guess it predates Excited as it was released in nov '81.

Glittering Prize really shows Simple Minds’ early magic, and getting it for 0.5€ is a steal. Lipson and Horn’s production adds depth that still feels fresh. It reminds me of reflectingon a sometimes, deeper meaning only reveals itself with time. Some things just get better the more you explore.

I haven’t heard much of their later work either, but this makes me want to dive back in.
