Quality of vinyl record sleeve

Pleased with the Amazon exclusive transparent vinyl of Nonetheless but the outer sleeve is very flimsy and the inner sleeve also thinner than expected. Are all editions like this? Seems like the latest example of cutting costs to produce an inferior product. Interested to get other experiences...

I'm no expert but the packaging on the black, zoetrope and clear vinyl all seem identical to me. The inside of the outer sleeve has a glossy feel to it too which is in contrast to the outside.

Gone are the days of jewel CD cases. Card is cheap and environmentally friendly.

The CD singles are gatefold and kind of swing open. I used to hate how formats would constantly change shape and design and then I found that '4L Freeze Food Containers' are perfect for storing CDs. Got a load off eBay.

Don't really see how the CD single gatefold bit offers anything particularly useful. Just uses more card. It's not like there is a photo or anything really significant on it...

These days, I rip the CD single, grab the wav, record the vinyl and then file the formats mint. Then make .wav and .mp3 320 versions on my NAS and .mp3 320 to my iPhone... By the way, iPhone 5s 64 GB make great cheap Blutooth players.

And the iPhone 5s has a 3.5" port (unlike my iPhone Eight) which is perfect for Audio Stream to PC Line In/Audacity.

This is a pension Release. I don't play these silly games no more. Be nice if they were No 1 based on the music alone.
After all, it feels like having a cup of tea...

Not overly delighted that there is one bonus track on the Japanese CD version. And it's nothing amazing apart from the price. Sounds like a discarded 'My Girl' track. I wonder sometimes if Pets are getting a bit lazy, as these days they probably do quite well in sales on the name alone. The singles have been quite dear to purchase and nothing particularly amazing on them. IMO.

Perhaps Parlophone suggested x x and x formats and they said done.
