Sorry for this but I don't really get how private messages work in the forum.
I've answered a private message and it stays in the "outbox" instead of moving to the "sent messages" folder. But other older messages are already in the "sent messages" folder. And then I sent another message to the same user and it also got stuck in the "outbox"
Does it mean the messages haven't been sent?
In that case, What should I do to get them sent?

Outbox just means it hasn't been picked up yet. Not having been picked up yet, (I assume) you're free to edit it or delete it. You can't do these things once they've read it.
