Now Yearbook 1990's version of So Hard
I was listening to Now Yearbook 1990 last night and the version of So Hard is not the single or album version. It starts off very much feeling like a live track, there's even backing singers during the chorus.
Given that this is a release for tracks in 1990, I feel that having a live track from Performance would be a year out.
Anyone know which mix they used on Now Yearbook 1990:?:

Re: Now Yearbook 1990's version of So Hard
I just checked this out myself and believe it's the live version from the Performance Tour in 1991. I suspect the wrong version was used on the Now 1990 cd as it seems very strange to use this rather than the single version.

One easy way to tell the Performance version is that it has extra orchestral hits playing the main riff.

I'm listening to it now - it's the single/album version. I have the special edition CD. I doubt that would make a difference, but I can't hear anything untoward with this...
Are you listening on CD, vinyl, or streaming?

Re: Now Yearbook 1990's version of So Hard
Greetings,
I've just tried it here in Australia on Spotify. So Hard is listed under Disc 4, Track 1 on the compilation and it points to the 2018 remaster from Behaviour.
Retro.

You knows it. There's a version of the yearbook 'out there' with So Hard showing a runtime of 3m59s (single version) and another version with the runtime of 4m5s (Performance live version).pauljonesuk1 wrote: Tue 26 Nov 2024, 6:54 pm Was this version obtained from a torrent by any chance?![]()

I have regular 4CD edition (not deluxe) but it's in the car.
TBH didn't notice something special in So hard on the first listen. Will check again tomorrow.

I can confirm that my regular 4CD version contains single/album version of So Hard (3:59). Nothing new and special
