Greetings,

Ugh... nothing ruins a CD like a digisleeve.

Retro. :)

Hmm, seems like a slightly pointless set of reissue's and I'm a total sucker for this kind of stuff, but surely there's enough of these albums in various iterations out there to satisfy everyone?

Mind you, pop em all in one giant digisleeve set and I could be quite tempted.

Who on Earth is going to buy these? Utterly pointless.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

Perhaps it's more appropriate to think of these as pressing new copies for newer fans or anyone else who can't get the originals any more and don't just want to rely on streaming, but they're now packaged in digisleeves, not jewel cases.

For everyone complaining about damaging the CD as it slides in and out of the sleeve, no doubt there will soon (if there isn't already) be a business in creating mini liners for digisleeves, like a vinyl inner sleeve.

Personally I prefer a cardboard sleeve over a hard plastic jewel case. I've had enough of the darn things break on me over the years. The digisleeve feels more environmentally friendly even if the CD itself still isn't.
For your own good, call me tonight.

Agree - I picked this Phil Collins set up for the missus and I think if packaged this way, it would make a nice set for someone interested in peripherally catching up with a particular artist you don't necessarily feel the need to get super invested in. I will also add I did NOT pay that much for it at the time! Holy moly!

It's happening

Gatefolds but no box.

I have to admit a box set would have been a no brainer for me, but as a gatefold I'm less intrigued. A single sleeve would have been a hard no, but I'm on the fence now.

OK so I wasn't having deja vu! Or maybe I was. Must check as I think I do own these.

Not gatefold though iirc.

No, but perfect little recreations of the original sleeves. I think there were a few of these released by different Parlophone/EMI artists at the time. Crowded House I think had one.

Yes, thought there were a few more of these. Nice to see PSB getting to design their cover in their own unique style.

Heh, I thought the price that Amazon were selling that Phil Collins set was a bit over the top!

Nice! That reminds me, they were double sleeves, so my guess is the gatefold would dispense with that and these would be more like the gatefold CD singles of late with all the appropriate inner sleeve blurb on the inside.
