So...
I contacted the venue earlier in the week to enquire about their disabled / carers and +1 policy. If I was lucky enough to get a ticket then my carer would need to accompany me.
I was advised that although the venue has an EXTREMELY limited accommodation for Disabilities that I should get back to them if and when I was successful in obtaining a ticket. Fair enough.
Today I thankfully managed to get a ticket for the Monday show, and , as advised got straight back to emailing the venue with my ticket details and the proof of disability that they had previously requested (PIP confirmation - ACCESS +1 Card Membership etc)
I waited. And waited some more. No reply. Not even a "auto response - we've received your email".
Giving their venue a telephone call seemed like a good plan. No reply there either.
Having waited till early evening I decided to send a second email (just to check that the first one got there)
This email (and their reply) is attached to this post.
I'm not very happy at all.
More than willing to find out from fellow petheads AITAH??

Working in a venue myself, I'm aware of these type of pressures, but the reply to you is really badly and rudely worded.

Re: Obscure Shows - Venue Access / Disability
If you needed a carer to join why not buy 2 disabled tickets at the time of check out.
Emailing multiple times and misspelling "receive" is annoying.
This thread has little to do with PSB and shouldn't have been made.

I support the OP in creating this thread and I believe it's valid.DopeFiend wrote: Fri 21 Nov 2025, 10:00 pm If you needed a carer to join why not buy 2 disabled tickets at the time of check out.

Re: Obscure Shows - Venue Access / Disability
It is valid to express one's feelings, but emailing excessively is not helpful. It is several months off. Give it time and see what happens. I am sure it will be fine. If, after a few weeks, you have not gotten a response, that is when I would start "going public." Right now it doesn't make them look bad at all, as it is reasonable for them to have not had time to respond yet. I do not find their response out of line if you did in fact send several messages during a short span of time. No reason to get alarmed, just a life lesson. I would only do that if it was time urgency (event was happening in a short time frame), or they had ignored you for a lengthy period of time. Neither is the case.
That may not be your perception, and that is why it is fine to share your feelings.

This has nothing to do with pet shop boys , but the venue , like the above have said , give them time it’s probably just one person. Trying to do multiple jobs ,

I think the venue's reply could have been more considerate. Something like:Skybluearmy87 wrote: Sat 22 Nov 2025, 11:34 am This has nothing to do with pet shop boys , but the venue , like the above have said , give them time it’s probably just one person. Trying to do multiple jobs ,
